What water temperature is best for washing cloth diapers?Updated 12 days ago
At Kinder, we know you want to keep your cloth diapers fresh and long-lasting. You can wash them effectively at any water temperature, but we recommend using the warm setting on your washing machine for everyday cleaning. While hot water is excellent for sanitizing, repeated use of very high temperatures can reduce the lifespan of elastics and waterproof fabrics like PUL. Since hot water temperatures can vary between households, choosing the warm setting helps protect your diapers.
If your washing machine doesn’t have a hot water hookup, don’t worry—cold or tap cold water works well too! With a good wash routine, you’ll keep your reusable diapers clean and ready for your little one.
